474 days to go...

...well rumors are true and I'm back out west again. This time for a 15 month contract position in Vancouver. Unfortunately Elena can't join me after having landed her dream job only last January. Home base will remain Toronto with the two of us polluting the airways at least once a month crisscrossing the country to visit each other. What job could possibly cause me to test the strength our recent marriage you ask... a job that combines maps, olympics, and BC!!! ...starting tomorrow I'll be the Map Layout Specialist for the 2010 games! Working for VANOC2010 doesn't mean I'll make it all the way to my much missed island, but should allow me to pop over for the odd weekend of training/racing/visiting. I've decided to start my second attempt at a blog, documenting what will inevitably be a unique and rewarding experience. This job is truly a dream job and I am very excited to get started tomorrow.


Landing this morning, I was greeted by a typical Vancouver fall day and an airport already thriving with olympic sales.
